Ghislain Briand

Ghislain was the 1980 Novice Men's Bronze Medalist in Canada. He also captured bronze at the 1975 Canada Games, and was six-time Quebec champion.

Ghislain has an extensive coaching background. He is a Level III certified coach, and Skate Canada gold medalist in freeskate, figures and dance. Ghislain spent 10 years coaching at the National Centre - Brossard. He coached for six years at the Mariposa School of Skating. Most recently, Ghislain coached in Quebec City for two years, and in Eastern Quebec for three years. He was the head coach of the "Tommy Litz Satellite Summer School".

Ghislain coaches students from beginner through competitive. He has worked with students at national, international and Olympic level. Currently, Ghislain coaches Maxime-Billy Fortin, the 2002 Canadian Novice Men's silver medalist.
