Roselle
Soussana
“
Beauty on Ice”
Roselle
Soussana began skating at the age of three. She trained
out of the Brossard Figure Skating Club in Brossard, Quebec.
Roselle decided to skate competitively, competing within Quebec,
including at the Quebec provincial championships, winning
several
medals and awards. She was part of Quebec's Elite Novice team
in 1990-91.
Roselle then moved to England. This is
where she developed the artistic side to her skating, which now
defines
Roselle as an extraordinary "artist on ice". She trained
under choreographer
Lorna Brown.
After winning the Scottish Junior Championships and the British
Junior Championship silver medal, Roselle decided to
return home to Canada.
Roselle trained in Chatham,
until moving to Barrie to join the Mariposa Skating Club. After
a serious injury, Roselle decided to turn professional.
As a professional, Roselle
got a chance to showcase her special talents in a film entitled
"Sometimes a Hero" written by Glen Gregory Doyle, Elvis Stojko's
martial arts instructor. It gave Roselle the opportunity to act,
as well as skate. She choreographed her own skating numbers for
the film..
Roselle has performed in numerous shows in both
Europe and North America. She brings incredible hydroblading,
beautiful
spirals and spins, and a passion for the ice to her performances.
Most recently, Roselle was in "BLUE
ICE" Le Cabaret D'hiver, a one month show as principal
skater with "Cirque Du Miroir" (JP Martin) held inside
the "Casino
du Lac Leamy" Theatre in Quebec.
Roselle continues to skate professionally, and
has also embarked on a coaching career.
